If you or a family member were an employee of federal state county or city employee (to include fire police school teacher etc) and did not contribute to social security. You are now eligible to draw and you are eligible for a retro payment up to 30k. These funds are currently being deposited as lump sums into your accounts and will be tagged as ssi retro payments. Guys, please be patient as checks are coming. Be mindful the earlier you get your documents into the tax preparer, the better chances you have in getting your return in a timely manner... As the article indicates, the IRS will be overwhelmed even further once the next round of stimulus is released, which should be any day now.
