GOOD NEWS! Those of us living in Texas that applied for SNAP benefits, will be eligible for an additional $1,200 in food benefits as long as benefits were applied for prior to May 28, 2021. Due to the burden of lunches being on the parents throughout the past and possibly the upcoming school year, Gov. Abbott had agreed to extend benefits... quite the bonus for the upcoming summer and hopefully a boost for those in need!
