One of the most rewarding parts of my job isn't preparing tax returns.

In fact, there was a time when I felt like I was doing business owners a disservice by only focusing on the return itself.

Don't get me wrong, tax preparation is important. Compliance matters.

But a tax return only tells part of the story.

What truly excites me is helping business owners gain clarity.

Helping them understand their numbers.

Helping them identify opportunities.

I was talking to someone recently who owes the IRS over $30,000!😳

And honestly it didn’t happen because they were being irresponsible and just blowing their money.

Their business was struggling for 2 years.
Money was tight.
So they started making some uncomfortable financial decisions just to keep cash flowing in the business.

And this happens with a lot of business owners.

Sometimes when you’re trying to survive, you make decisions based on what helps right now and not what could impact you later.
