We were honored to welcome a congressional staff delegation from the offices of Senator Chris Murphy, Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congressman Rep John Larson, and Congresswoman Rep. Rosa DeLauro to Leonardo DRS in Danbury, Connecticut, for a firsthand look at our operations.
The visit highlighted how Leonardo DRS designs and builds key subsystems for the Navy’s submarine and carrier fleets, including reactor plant instrumentation and controls, machinery controls, ruggedized displays, plant monitoring, weapons and stores elevator systems, and sensors. Additionally, we showcased our parallel commercial role in supplying instrumentation and sensors to commercial nuclear power plants here and abroad.
Thank you to the staff delegation for taking the time to see this technology, and this team, up close. We're proud to call Connecticut home, and at the end of the visit, the delegation was able to view the plans for our new 141,000sqft facility, which will bring DRS's growing Connecticut operations together under one roof in a modern, purpose-built campus.
