What is one thing people might not know about your job?
Not just my job, but all jobs here at USB: how much goes into it. I have been here a few years now and I am still constantly learning new things. There are many procedures, rules, and regulations we have to keep in mind to provide excellent and safe banking experiences for our customers.

What is one piece of advice you’d give someone opening an account or applying for a loan for the first time?
Enroll in online banking and check your account at least once a day.

What is your favorite part about your role with USB?
I get to communicate with employees and customers throughout all of our locations on a daily basis.

What’s the first thing you want a new customer to know about our team?
We are all here working together to help make sure our customers have the best possible experience with all of their banking needs. There’s also probably a lot more of us than customers may realize. There are a lot of people working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.

What is your go-to coffee/drink and/or snack?
I usually just have coffee at home, but occasionally I’ll treat myself to an iced vanilla latte (with pumpkin cream cold foam in the fall). For snacks, I’ve been eating a lot of pistachios lately.

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?
Italy… but Green Bay is at the top of the list, too (go Pack go).

Favorite TV Show or Movie right now?
The Office will forever be my go-to. And Marvel movies.

What is one fun fact about you that might surprise people?
I worked at a veterinary clinic for 14 years before I started at USB, and I won’t be surprised if I end up living on a farm with a bunch of rescue animals.

What is one thing people might not know about your job?
In my role of Market President, not only am I responsible for overseeing financial performance for the Winfield market, I also actively manage 27 commercial rental units that the bank owns in our main bank facility at 9th and main.

What is one piece of advice you’d give someone opening an account or applying for a loan for the first time?
Applying for a loan or opening an account at Union State Bank has never been easier through our multitude of options. Our experienced and dedicated staff are excited to assist at all times.

What is your favorite part about your role with USB?
I love to interact and have conversations with our customers, while always seeking to provide valuable financial support and consultation so that Union State Bank can be a trusted financial partner for everyone!

What’s the first thing you want a new customer to know about our team?
EVERY CUSTOMER LEAVES WITH A SMILE AND CALLS US THEIR FRIEND!

What is go-to coffee/drink and/or snack?
I am pretty simple in my daily routine- black coffee gets my day started!

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?
I have always enjoyed military history. I would love to visit Europe one day and pay my respects to our heroes who fought and died on the beaches of Normandy.

Favorite TV Show or Movie right now?
I’m currently finishing Stranger Things on Netflix after hearing about the series for several years. But I am a huge Back to the Future fan- whenever any of the three movies are on, you can bet I’ll be watching!

What is one fun fact about you that might surprise people?
I love to cook. I’m not sure if I am great at it, but I enjoy trying out new recipes in the kitchen and on the grill!

Golf season is in full swing! Union State Bank hit the links in Newton as part of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. While the scores may be up for debate, one thing isn't...supporting organizations that help communities succeed is always a winning effort.

Our team enjoyed spending time on the course while supporting the chamber's mission of strengthening local business and fostering economic vitality throughout the region.

What is one thing people might not know about your job?
In Digital Banking, we’re the team making sure the app behaves, testing new features, fixing issues, and keeping things running smoothly.

What is one piece of advice you’d give someone opening an account or applying for a loan for the first time?
I always recommend downloading the online banking app before you leave. It gives you instant access to your balance, transactions, and tools that make managing your account simple and stress‑free.

What is your favorite part about your role with USB?
My favorite part of my role is testing new versions of the app and giving my input. It feels good knowing my feedback helps shape something our customers use every day.

What’s the first thing you want a new customer to know about our team?
The first thing we want new customers to know is that they’re never on their own. If you need anything, just call us or stop by the branch. We’re here and ready to help.

What is go-to coffee/drink and/or snack?
I am an ice-cold Dr. Pepper girly with trail mix for a snack.

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?
I’d go to Bora Bora. The crystal‑blue water, the quiet, the over‑water bungalows. All of it just feels like the kind of place my soul has been hinting at.

Favorite TV Show or Movie right now?
Currently, I am watching Marshalls.

What is one fun fact about you that might surprise people?
I’m a woman of many trades, and people are always surprised to learn that I design and make my own t‑shirts and freshies. My heat press and fragrance oils have taken over an entire room and maybe part of my kitchen, and honestly, I’m not mad about it.

Investing in the future goes beyond banking. It means supporting the next generation as they explore career opportunities and develop valuable life skills.

We’re proud to have two of our Edmond, OK team members, Christina Wilson and Stephanie Hammontree, representing Union State bank at the Construct My Future camp held at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City. This hands-on experience introduces middle school students to the exciting world of construction trades, helping them discover potential career paths through interactive learning and real-world demonstrations.

Dressed for the job in safety vests and hard hats, our team enjoyed connecting with students and encouraging them to explore the many opportunities available within the skilled trades industry.

Can you share a memorable experience helping a customer?
There is a lady that comes in every Friday morning and every interaction with her brings a smile to my face. She always makes us laugh and brings a little more joy to our day.

What is one thing people might not know about this job?
You see people more regularly than you would expect. Which offers more opportunity for connecting within the community.

What is your favorite part about working with customers?
I love helping our regulars who come in weekly! I enjoy continuing that relationship with them.

What’s the first thing you want a new customer to know about our team?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Even if we don’t know the answer, we will do our best to figure it out or connect you with a team member who can help you.

What is your go-to coffee/drink and/or snack?
My go to drink currently is an apple Spindrift. Apple things are my favorite!

If you could travel anywhere is the world tomorrow, where would you go?
I have dreamt of going to Maine for years! It is definitely my top choice!

There are to many books to choose! My favorite Tv show is NCIS.
