To all of our current tenants...due to the upcoming winter storm, we ask that you take a moment today or early tomorrow to prepare your rental property for the winter storm that is upon us.
1. Disconnect any garden hoses
2. Cover outdoor faucets with insulated caps and wrap exposed pipes in unheated areas
3. Open the kitchen and bathroom doors to circulate warm air
4. Let faucets drip during the hard freezes
5.Replace HVAC filters if you haven't in the last 3 months
6.Keep thermostats at 65 degrees or higher
7.Reverse your ceiling fans to push warm air back down into the rooms
8.Ensure that your smoke detectors are working
9.Keep garage doors closed
10.Trim tree branches/bushes that will fall and damage the home or block entrances
11.Make sure your renters policy is active. Some policies may help with expenses if your rented home is unlivable due to plumbing/electric outages.
If you need us to help with Insulating outdoor faucets, replacing the filters on the HVAC's, changing smoke detectors, or trimming trees please reach out to us immediately. Stay safe and warm, and contact us if you need any assistance.
