It's our 10th year running this unique business skills course. Among its best features: Graduates who serve as guest instructors. An approximately 58.7-acre property of flat land is available for lease, sale, or partnership in Pescadero, 40 miles from the San Francisco airport. Permitted uses across the property include row crops, market vegetables, orchards, cut flowers, and aquaculture. Landholders offer flexible terms, including split acreage, equity partnerships, and medium- to long-term leases for single or multiple landseekers.

The site features 28.7 acres with 400,000 square feet of glass greenhouses and 2 acres of hoop houses previously used for hydroponics, cut flowers, and leafy greens. Infrastructure includes 4,000 amps of power, automated irrigation, boilers, cold storage, a 12 acre-foot pond, two domestic wells, and two out of three available multi-unit farmworker housing structures.

Two additional 15-acre parcels formerly used for row crops are available, though irrigation is needed. One plot includes a four-unit farmworker residence, and tenants across all plots are permitted to bring or build mobile sheds or build a house.

All acreage has riparian and appropriative water rights, and it has been free of non-organic pesticides for over three years, likely allowing for swift organic certification.

We're thrilled to announce that Kelsey Kerston has joined the FarmLink team as a Loan Officer based in the Sacramento Valley.

As a Loan Officer at California FarmLink, Kelsey works with farmers and ranchers to help them access the financing they need to start, sustain, or grow their operations from application to underwriting. Her goal is to understand the unique needs of each operation and help make capital more accessible so farmers can build resilient, sustainable farms for the long term.🤝🌱

An approximately 53-acre parcel of slightly sloped land is available for lease to one or multiple landseekers in Carpinteria. The property has been under organic strawberry cultivation for several decades. Organic practices are required and organic certification preferred.

The land can be used to grow flowers, market gardens, berries, and forage crops. The majority of the farmable acreage is Milpitas-Positas fine sandy loam, with environmentally sensitive riparian areas.

There are no existing structures on site, and tenants will be permitted to bring or build a mobile shed. Water infrastructure includes a 2-inch meter (200 GPM) and a 3-inch meter (375 GPM). The property includes an unverified well that requires testing for use; in the past land has been irrigated with municipal water supply. Existing irrigation equipment will be determined upon the exit of the current tenant.

The landholders are open to medium-term leases and interested in supporting small farmers through split acreage, subleases, or multi-tenant lease agreements. The property is managed by Wells Fargo Bank and held in a land trust.
