Scenario: 70 y.o. male, relocated from NY to live with his daughter in Florida.
Client takes 7 prescription medications and sees 2 specialist. Clients 'loves' his P*P, however, each visit to the pharmacy is an absolute headache!
Why?
When the client relocated, he contacted his Medicare insurance carrier who switched his plan without additional prescription coverage. Each trip to a pharmacy was approximately $1000 per month.
Solution: I obtained a list of his Providers and medications, searched the States database of Medicare Health Plans to see the best match. I was able to find the patient a plan that covers her medications at 100%.
Follow-up: Client was able to pick up all his medications at $0
Lesson: Thanks to a wonderful daughter, her dad can do not have to go without his medications.
