🚸🏫 As we gear up for the start of the school year next week, safety is our top priority! 🎒💙 Let's all remember these important school crossing safety tips to ensure the well-being of everyone in our community:
1️⃣ Slow down to 15 mph when approaching a school crosswalk while school is in session and signs are posted. Let's give our pedestrians the space and time they need to cross the road safely.
2️⃣ Always stop for pedestrians who are within a school crosswalk while school is in session and signs are posted. Their safety is in our hands, so let's show them the respect they deserve.
3️⃣ Avoid passing another vehicle when approaching a school crosswalk while school is in session and signs are posted. Let's keep our roads clear and safe for everyone.
4️⃣ARS 28-701.02.A.1 A violator who exceeds 35 miles per hour approaching a school crossing is guilty of a class 3 misdemeanor.
