Realtors and Lenders! I have gotten 2 phone calls in the past week from new home buyers their insurance company is cancelling there home insurance. The reason they are giving them is because they have a Challenger Electrical box. Challenger electrical panels have a history of recalls due to safety concerns, including those related to 15- and 20-ampere circuit breakers manufactured in 1988. These panels were installed in numerous homes during the 1980s and 1990s and continue to be a source of concern due to potential overheating and fire hazards.
