Great evening at the Northern District Police Community Relations Council Annual Picnic! Thank you to the Northern Police Station officers for their hospitality.

I enjoyed spending the evening simply talking with residents, having genuine conversations, and hearing their stories. Even got a movie  recommendation I need to check out! 

This is the best part about campaigning—it's taking the time to connect with neighbors one conversation at a time.

And I have to mention—the pit beef station was amazing! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a great community event.

This Memorial Day, I pause to remember my great uncle, Second Lieutenant Kenneth Ray Adkins Jr. of the Army Air Forces, who was killed in action during a reconnaissance mission over New Guinea on November 21, 1943. He was just 22 years old when the B 24D Liberator “Black Widow” was shot down and the entire crew was lost.

Today, we honor not only his sacrifice, but the sacrifice of all the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our freedoms. Their courage and service will never be forgotten.

May we always remember that freedom is never free. 🇺🇸

I had the chance to tour the Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland in Severn and it really stuck with me.

If you know me, you know I am a dog lover. Seeing the care and compassion they give to older dogs, making sure they live with comfort and dignity, really hits home.

What also stood out is their Seniors 2 Seniors program, helping local seniors with pet supplies. It is a simple idea that makes a real difference.

They have a bingo event coming up on June 7 if you are looking for something to do and want to support a great cause.

This is the kind of community work that deserves our support.
