On January 18, 2024 at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to an armed carjacking at the Walmart located at 6721 Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie. The adult female victim was approached by the suspect, who asked for a ride. When the victim declined, the suspect brandished a hunting knife and stole the victim’s vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, at which time the suspect fled. The vehicle became disabled a short time later. Officers took the suspect into custody and he was charged accordingly.
