Thereβs been several lessons in life given to me through many mediums. I am grateful for them all.
Today I happened to think how sports has taught me about relationships, business and life in general. There will be many factors that will act as obstacles on our pursuit to anything we deem worthy of our efforts. In sports you learn to deal with everything from referees, to weather, to spectators, to cheating opponents and despite all of that you are forced to find a way to affect the outcome in a way that is favorable to you and your team at large. That mindset is one of ownership.
You take the small wins and even the missteps and make the comprehensive decision to adjust and stay the course. History has shown us that the pendulum always swings. It is best to stay calm no matter the score. Up or down the mission is the mission.
Lately Iβve had conversations with several people who like myself are adjusting to the new momentum of life and their pursuit of whatever they may see for themselves. My message remains the same. Keep the faith and respect the water. Control the controllables and adjust to lifeβs natural flow.
Whether buying a home, maintaining a business, pursuing a health goal or navigating a relationship that is how we take ownership of our future.
