Summer travel season is here, and unfortunately, it’s also a busy season for scammers.
As you book flights, hotels, vacation rentals, and excursions, watch out for fake booking websites, “too good to be true” travel deals, spoofed airline or hotel emails, and text messages asking you to click links to confirm reservations or payment information.
Scammers also target travelers using public Wi-Fi networks, making it easier to steal passwords and banking information if you’re not careful.
A few good reminders 👇
Book through trusted sites
Double check URLs before entering payment information
Avoid logging into banking apps on unsecured public Wi-Fi
Monitor your accounts regularly while traveling
A little extra awareness can help keep your summer plans stress-free.
