☕ Tomorrow at Coffee Connectors: When Conversation “Clicks”

Tomorrow morning, we’ll continue our Supercommunicators discussion series with Session 4:

When Conversation “Clicks”

We’ve all experienced conversations that seem to flow naturally—where both people feel comfortable, engaged, and genuinely understood. But what creates that feeling?

Our Discussion Question of the Week:

When have you experienced a conversation that seemed to “click”? What created that feeling?

We’ll explore how thoughtful questions, close listening, and appropriate sharing can create trust, alignment, and stronger connections.

Everyone is welcome—even if you haven’t read the book or attended the previous sessions. There is no required reading, and each discussion stands on its own. Charles Duhigg’s Supercommunicators simply gives us a starting point for a conversation we can all join.

Our small challenge for the coming week:

Ask one follow-up question before telling your own related story.

It sounds simple, but it may completely change the quality of a conversation.

Join us tomorrow morning. Come prepared to share an experience, offer an observation, or simply listen and enjoy the conversation.

There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet.

You don’t have to read the book to join the conversation!

Tomorrow morning is Session 3 of our Supercommunicators Meetup—and it’s not too late to join us.

You don’t need to have attended the first two sessions, and you don’t need to own or have read the book. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to meet some interesting people.

The book gives us something to discuss, but the greatest value comes from sitting around the table with people from different backgrounds, exchanging ideas, listening to new perspectives, and forming connections that might never have happened otherwise.

Greetings!

Tomorrow morning, we’ll gather for Session 2 of our Supercommunicators Book Club—and it’s definitely not too late to join us.

Last week, 12 people from a wide variety of professional and personal backgrounds shared their perspectives. It was exactly the kind of conversation the Connectors Club was created to encourage: thoughtful, welcoming, and filled with ideas we could put to use immediately.

You do not need to have attended the first session, and you don’t even need to have the book yet. Come as you are, listen, contribute if you’d like, and enjoy a meaningful conversation with interesting people you might not otherwise cross paths with.

We’ll meet tomorrow morning at Grand Traverse Pie Company

There’s still a seat at the table for you. I hope you’ll join us!

What happens when 12 people from very different backgrounds sit down together for a genuine conversation?

This morning’s first Supercommunicators Book Club Meetup reminded us exactly why these gatherings matter.

Our group included a REALTOR®, an IT professional, two financial planners, an ER doctor with entrepreneurial projects, a CPA, a small-business marketer, a general contractor, a business coach, an office management specialist, a retiree launching a consulting practice, and a former special education teacher turned entrepreneur.

Twelve was the perfect number—large enough to bring a wonderful variety of perspectives, but small enough for everyone to contribute. And contribute they did! Different people connected with different ideas from the book, which made the discussion especially meaningful.

One clear consensus emerged:

Supercommunicators aren’t necessarily the people who talk the most. They’re the people who listen, empathize, understand what others need, and look for genuine ways to help.

That can be a real challenge in our fast-paced, distracted world—but it is also a skill we can learn and practice.

Everyone left excited to continue the conversation next week.

And we have a seat at the table for you!

Meet awesome people you would never otherwise cross paths with.

You may know me as a connector—but do you know me as a REALTOR®?

For nearly 20 years, the Connectors Club has been about bringing people together, building relationships, and helping one another succeed.

That same spirit is at the heart of my real estate business.

For more than 20 years, Mary and I have helped people throughout Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County:

🏡 Buy or sell a home or condominium
📊 Understand what today’s market really means
🏢 Evaluate duplexes and multi-unit investments
💰 Determine a property’s value
🤝 Connect with trusted lenders, inspectors, contractors, attorneys, and other professionals

You don’t have to be ready to make a move today. Some of the most helpful real estate conversations happen months—or even years—before a decision is made.

If real estate is on your mind, or someone you know could use honest and experienced guidance, call me at (734) 678-9032.

I’m always happy to have a conversation—now or whenever the time comes.

☕ WE’RE CONNECTED—NOW WHAT?

Meeting someone is only the beginning. The real value of networking comes from what happens after that first introduction.

Tomorrow at Connect Over Coffee, Brian Bundesen will share a new Connectors Club plan designed to help us turn introductions into genuine professional relationships:

✅ Connect beyond the meeting
✅ Pay it forward through introductions and helpful resources
✅ Stay engaged and continue building trust
✅ Develop a reliable community of professionals we can confidently recommend

We’ll also introduce Your Concierge Community, a connection platform created by Connectors Club member Barry McDonald, owner of Small Gyfts.

The platform allows members to organize their most trusted professional network in one convenient online community—and make contacts, recommendations, and referrals easy to share through a quick QR code.

Helping our members implement this valuable tool will be an important Connectors Club goal for 2027.

Whether you’ve attended recently, haven’t joined us in a while, or have been following the Club but have never come to a meeting, you are warmly invited!
