This quarter, Marissa Collins passed her Series 65 exam and became a licensed Investment Advisor Representative, which means she can now build financial plans and give investment advice under her own name.

Passing the Series 65 isn't easy. It means late nights with the books on top of a full workday. And then there's the exam itself, which nerve-wracking doesn't even begin to cover. Marissa did it anyway. That's the kind of moment that earns a gold ticket around here. Well earned, Marissa.

During our recent quarterly meeting, our newest hire Darius just couldn't stop laughing.

It was his first time watching our tradition of unwrapping team gifts covered in layers of joke paper. Seeing it through his fresh eyes was a reminder of why we wouldn't do it any other way. Joy is not optional around here, it is necessary.

The team gifts pay tribute to the power of small things. Each time someone goes the extra mile, they get a blue ticket. When a little extra effort becomes a habit, those tickets stack up quickly, and they turn into a gift customized for the person. Riley, who just welcomed his daughter, received a journal to write messages that she can read when she is older.

It's not so different from a financial plan. Big, haphazard moves rarely change trajectories. It's the steady, thoughtful steps, taken one quarter at a time, that build a life you actually love.

One of our team’s love languages? Quality time.

Our recent AWS trip to Lake Tahoe brought plenty of it—from boat rides and mountain views to whitewater rafting and shared laughter.

The rafting was a little frightful and a lot like teamwork. We thought it was Carol’s big step outside her comfort zone. Then she jumped off the top of the yacht, and the whole team cheered her on. 🎉

Making room for joy and connection strengthens our relationships with one another. That connection carries into our work: how we collaborate, support our clients, and build meaningful relationships. We came home feeling closer, and it shows.

Time together is an investment in our team, and in the care we bring to every client relationship.
