ππ₯ Tuesday Tips with Tom! π₯π
Do you know which type of collision coverage is on your car insurance policy? π€ In Michigan, there are three primary optionsβand understanding the difference could save you from an unexpected expense after an accident! π΅π‘οΈ
β
Broad Form Collision
Your vehicle is covered regardless of who is responsible. If you are 50% or less responsible, your deductible is typically waived. If you are more than 50% responsible, you pay your deductible. This is generally the collision coverage our agency recommends. ππ
π΅ Standard Collision
Your vehicle is covered regardless of who is responsible, but you are responsible for paying your deductible each time you make a covered collision claim. π§Ύπ§
β οΈ Limited Collision
Coverage generally applies only when you are 50% or less responsible. If you are more than 50% responsible, damage to your vehicle is not covered under limited collision. ππ₯
π‘ Helpful reminder: A higher deductible can lower your bill, but it also means paying more out of pocket if you have a covered claim.
