Kent Tschannen joined Dempsey Incorporated as Vice President in 2005. Prior to Dempsey Incorporated, Kent managed the commercial sales department for the University of Michigan’s health plan M-CARE. Under his leadership, M-CARE grew to become one of Michigan’s leading health insurance carriers.

Kent is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he was a scholarship athlete and a four-year letter winner with the Men’s swimming and Diving team. Kent currently volunteers as an assistant coach with Skyline Highschool. Kent and his wife, Dana Tschannen, reside in Brighton, Michigan and they have three children (ages 20, 18, & 16). Kent enjoys swimming, spending time on Lake Michigan, and watching his children participate in their sports and other activities.

THE DEMPSEY DIFFERENCE

Michael joined Dempsey Incorporated in 1988, twenty years into Dempsey’s inception. Mr. Dempsey worked on expanding the Group Benefits department that his sister, Kim Phillips, implemented to complement the Business Continuation and Life Planning focus that started the company. Michael was able to bring a different perspective to the family business from his time at Johnson Controls immediately following college graduation.

Michael is a proud Pioneer, and Pioneer Athletic Hall of Fame member, graduating from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School in 1982. While obtaining his Business degree from Indiana University Kelly School of Business in 1986, he was a member of the Men’s Water Polo team. Michael resides in Ann Arbor and is a proud father of three children (age 28, 20 & 18). In his spare time, Mr. Dempsey enjoys swimming, water polo and Disney.
