Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jace is a recent Finance graduate from Iowa State University who is passionate about helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most. As he grows in this profession, he looks forward to helping clients with life insurance, disability income protection, and long-term care planning.

When he's not meeting with clients, you'll likely find Jace enjoying the outdoors, whether he's on the golf course or spending time fishing.

Welcome Luke Hillis to the NYL Family!

Luke grew up in Fairfield, Iowa, and graduated from Maharishi School in 2008. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Maharishi International University, graduating in 2012 and 2015. His professional background includes eight years in business development through project management, sales, and corporate training roles.

What Luke enjoyed most about corporate training was helping people make decisions that improved their lives. Today, he brings that same passion to his work with New York Life, helping individuals, families, and business owners make informed financial decisions that strengthen their future and protect what matters most.

Outside of work, Luke has a wide range of interests and accomplishments. He competed in tennis at the state level, earning third place in doubles competition, has practiced sleight-of-hand magic since age 10, and grew up playing piano, saxophone, and Celtic harp. In 2017, he became a certified Transcendental Meditation teacher. He has traveled to 13 countries and enjoys learning from different cultures and experiences.

Luke returned to Fairfield in 2026 with his fiancée because they believe it is the ideal place to build a family and remain close to family, friends, and the community they value.

A big thank you to everyone who joined Abby Burns' Open House in Emmetsburg, Iowa, last week!

It was wonderful to see so many community members stop by, connect, and learn more about the resources and support available to help individuals and families work toward their financial goals. Events like these are a great reminder of the importance of building relationships and being present in the communities we serve.

Congratulations to Abby on a successful event and thank you to everyone who helped make her day so special. Even though Abby has been there since last fall, she is grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to continuing to serve the Emmetsburg community for years to come.
