June has always been a special month for me.
Not only is it Founders Month and the 104th anniversary of State Farm, but it also marks my 10-year anniversary with the company.
This Father’s Day, I’ve been reflecting on the men who have helped shape my life and career.
My dad, Chris, taught me the value of hard work from a young age. He showed me that success isn’t given—it’s earned through dedication, consistency, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. The work ethic he instilled in me has been one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received.
Ten years ago, my father-in-law, Chuck Smith, gave me the opportunity of a lifetime when he welcomed me into the agency his father started in the 1950s. Working alongside Chuck allowed me to learn not only the insurance business, but more importantly how to truly care for people. He taught me the values that have guided his agency for generations: putting customers first, building relationships, and being there when people need you most.
A lot has changed in the insurance industry over the last decade, but those values remain the same.
I’m incredibly grateful for the lessons, mentorship, and opportunities I’ve received from both of these men, and for the trust our customers have placed in us over the years.
Here’s to 10 years with State Farm, 104 years of serving customers, and the fathers and mentors who help shape the next generation.
Thank you, Dad. Thank you, Chuck. And thank you to every customer who has trusted us to be there when it matters most.
Happy Father’s Day!
