I just wanted to pop in and be real for a minute. I’ve debated for so long making a post like this but I’m part of a coaching class right now and one of my goals I made this week was to post more and stop overthinking it.
I started in mortgages last year, and since then I’ve let my fear of being new, working part-time in an office job and lack of knowledge and experience hold me back from posting a lot. I’ve tried to hide all of those facts. I wouldn’t post a video of me explaining something because I’m in scrubs from my office. Or I overthink something and feel like I may say something wrong and look new. Well that ends today.
We’ve all been new in real estate. Everyone has had to start fresh, often with no knowledge or while juggling a side job. I want to be more present. I want people to know my personality and what I’m like through my posts instead of hiding behind a generic picture collage. I want to stop being who I think people want to see and just be myself, allowing that to draw people to me and my business.
Maybe it’s because I just completed my first closing and they expressed their appreciation so much, the great duo the realtor and I were and how valuable I was to them that’s giving me more confidence. But those are the kinds of experiences I want to have more of. And I don’t believe there is a better way to do that than to just be myself out here.
So this is me, on my lunch break from the dental office, putting in the work in real estate. Thinking about ways I can be better, reach more people, network with new partners and build a business.
