Our team is having a wonderful time with dear friends at the Church of God Preaching Clinic.
Last night’s highlight was a fabulous performance of Stirrin in the Waters written by Rev. Dr. Charles Myricks, Jr. And yes, that is one of our own Financial Coaching team members, Rev. Dr. Mike Snyder, sharing his musical talent on the cello!
Grateful for meaningful connections, inspiring moments, and the joy of being together.

Servant Solutions is excited to be part of the Church of God Preaching Clinic & Camp Meeting this week on the Anderson University campus!

We are especially honored to sponsor the Thursday evening service:

Special Recognition: 120 Years of the Church of God in Anderson

And yes… following the service, the Servant Solutions team will personally be serving ice cream at the social afterward. Retirement planning by day. Ice cream service by night. It’s all part of serving those who serve.

Also, be sure to join Nate and Jerry for our Servant Solutions Elective session on Friday morning! We'll be in Hartung 104 at 8:45a discussing "What's on Your Retirement Checklist?"

We’re looking forward to a wonderful week of worship, encouragement, learning, and connection with friends old and new. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

Important conversations happened at Empowered 2026 as church leaders gathered to discuss the growing challenges of balancing ministry impact, financial stewardship, and caring well for those called to serve.

Rev. Jim Weinmann and Rev. Dr. Mike Snyder led a meaningful workshop exploring the difference between funding ministry and supporting ministers, encouraging practical conversations around budgeting, leadership communication, and long-term church health.

Thankful for everyone who joined us for this engaging session and for the many leaders committed to strengthening the future of the Church.

Planning for the future is an act of wisdom, but also an act of trust.

We do our part with care and intention, knowing that ultimately, God is the One who establishes what lasts.

There is peace in placing both our work and our future in His hands.

We were grateful to welcome Christopher Wells, Executive Director of the Church Alliance, and Lori Wolking, representing the Church Benefits Association (CBA), to the Servant Solutions office recently for a meaningful conversation with our staff about current developments in Washington impacting church retirement and benefit plans.

The Church Alliance advocates on behalf of 34 member organizations serving employees across a wide range of Christian and Jewish denominations, while the CBA works to strengthen and support church benefit organizations through collaboration, education, and shared leadership.

One encouraging takeaway from our time together was hearing Chris share that many of the leaders and policymakers he meets with in Washington genuinely want to make a difference and work together for the good of the people they serve, despite the division often portrayed in the media.

We are thankful for thoughtful leadership, strong partnerships, and faithful advocacy on behalf of those serving the Church.

There’s something meaningful about a church that becomes part of the fabric of its community. In Goshen, Indiana, LifePoint Church has done just that. By opening its doors not only for worship, but for connection, support, and care across generations.

From hosting local gatherings to creating environments where people can grow in faith together, their ministry reflects a steady, relational approach.

At Servant Solutions, our role is simply to support the people behind that work, so they can continue serving their community in the ways they’ve been faithfully called to.

Many ministers are surprised to learn they may qualify for one of the most valuable tax benefits available to clergy, and that it can continue into retirement.

But there’s an important detail many don’t realize certain retirement account decisions could permanently affect future housing allowance eligibility.

Whether you are actively serving or planning for retirement, understanding the minister’s housing allowance could make a meaningful difference in your long-term financial picture.

Rev. David Boots recently attended the WARM (Western Area Regional Ministerium) Conference held on the beautiful campus of Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. During the annual gathering, he presented a workshop focused on “Caring for Your Pastor,” encouraging churches and leaders to intentionally support those serving in ministry.

The following day, Rev. Boots also had the opportunity to present to the Warner Pacific University staff. We’re grateful for opportunities like these to encourage, equip, and invest in ministry leaders and organizations across the country.
