We love getting out into the community, seeing familiar faces—and meeting a few new ones along the way!

Our team recently spent the day at the Williamston Business Expo, connecting with local business owners, community members, and neighbors from around the area.

It was a great day of conversations and getting to know more people in our Williamston community. We enjoyed sharing a bit about Upstate Federal Credit Union, but honestly, we loved simply being there and being part of the day.

Certificates can be a low-risk way to earn a predictable return on money you don't need for everyday expenses.

With a certificate, you deposit a set amount for a fixed term and earn a set rate for that term. In exchange for leaving the money on deposit for the agreed-upon term, you can earn a predictable return without the ups and downs of the market.

They can be worth considering for money you're saving for something down the road—a future purchase, a trip, or another goal you don't need the money for right away.

WHY DIDN’T MY PAYCHECK ARRIVE EARLY?
If you normally receive your direct deposit early and noticed your paycheck arrived closer to your scheduled payday, you may be wondering what changed.
Early direct deposit depends on when your employer or payroll provider sends your payment information to UFCU. When we receive your deposit information early, we can make those funds available to you up to two days before your scheduled payday.
Some payroll providers, including ADP, have changed when they send certain payroll files to financial institutions. When those files aren't sent until closer to the scheduled payday, UFCU doesn't receive the information early enough to make the deposit available early.
This isn't specific to UFCU. Payroll files are sent based on the payroll provider's processing schedule, not according to which financial institution an employee uses. If the payroll file hasn't been sent, no financial institution can make that deposit available early.
The important part: This doesn't mean UFCU has stopped offering early direct deposit. We continue to make qualifying direct deposits available up to 2 days early, as we receive them.
If your employer uses ADP, your direct deposit timing may be different than what you've experienced in the past.

Our branches are closed today in observance of the holiday, but UFCU is still here when you need us.

You can access your accounts anytime through Mobile Banking, Online Banking, and ATMs.

Our branches will reopen with normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13.
