As students head back to the classroom, we wanted to take a look at something they’ve been growing outside of it. 🌱

Earlier this year, CFAB was proud to support the school garden at Airport Heights Elementary through our Growing Alaska’s Future donation.

Agriculture is in our name and supporting opportunities for young Alaskans to learn where food comes from, how things grow, and how much work goes into producing it matters to us.

Investing in Alaska also means investing in the next generation — helping kids build curiosity, confidence, and a connection to the industries that help sustain our state.

A special thank you to Moana Rolfzen and all of the staff at Airport Heights Elementary who put their time and care into making opportunities like this possible for students.

The Alaska State Fair opens this week, bringing together growers, producers, families, and communities from across the state.

From giant vegetables to livestock and locally made products, the fair is always a great reminder of how much Alaska’s agricultural community accomplishes during our short growing season.

When the sun is always up, Alaska has prettiest way of keeping time. 🪻

Fireweed blooms from the bottom of the stalk upward, and it's been said that you can tell how much summer is left by watching how high the blossoms have climbed.

Once the flowers reach the very top, summer is nearing its end.
