Anchorage hosted a busy energy week as Alaska Power Association members and staff took part in the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference and the National Hydropower Association’s Alaska Regional Meeting. At ASEC on Tuesday, Executive Director Crystal Enkvist moderated the “AI Impacts and Opportunities” panel, and on Thursday at the NHA meeting, Deputy Director Michael Rovito presented a state legislative overview.

APA Deputy Director Michael Rovito is in Washington, D.C. this week for the Northwest Public Power Association fly-in and he had a very productive meeting with Sen. Lisa Murkowski this morning.

From hydropower licensing reform to diesel fuel costs and supply issues and many, many other topics, it was - as usual - time well spent with the Senator.
