MEET YOUR ANCHOR BANKER

Some people make the work look easy simply because they never stop showing up for it. That's Kamey.

Kamey has spent more than two decades in banking, twelve of them right here at Anchor. She joined us in 2014 and in that time she's become the kind of person a bank quietly runs on. Anchor feels like a place where things just work, and a lot of that is Kamey.

She'll tell you the customers are her favorite part, and it shows. To Kamey, community banking is exactly what it should be: a small, friendly place where you know the people who walk through the door and you send them off having done their business right. She truly cares for each and every one of them.

Outside of the bank, family is everything to Kamey. She's an exceptional mother of two busy young adults, and her pride in them is impossible to miss. The same care she pours into them is the same care she carries through the door each morning here in Anchor.

Twelve years is a long time to give a place your best. We're grateful for Kamey, and for everything she holds together at Anchor State Bank.

Amanda has been part of the Anchor State Bank team for over two years, serving as an Operations Assistant and supporting the work that keeps everything running smoothly.

Amanda makes sure every customer feels comfortable and cared for, with a personalized experience each time they walk through the door. She appreciates the small town feel of the community and the relationships that come with it. To her, community banking is about building real connections and investing in the people right here at home.

Amanda brings much more to Anchor than the responsibilities of her role. She leads with kindness while bringing humor, creativity, and a unique spark to the team. She is a natural problem solver who asks questions to understand, steps in where she is needed, and supports others simply because it matters. Whether it is a fresh idea, a different perspective, or freshly baked bread, she has a way of making both the work and the workplace better.

Outside of the bank, Amanda enjoys spending time with family, attending sporting events, cooking, gardening, and being outdoors.

Karen has been a steady presence at Anchor State Bank for 30 years, bringing both heart and strength to the team.

Raised in McLean County and rooted in farm life near Saybrook, Karen understands the value of hard work, loyalty, and showing up for people when they need you. Customers know they can count on her to take the time to help, solve problems, and make sure things are handled the right way.

Around the bank, Karen is known for her caring nature and the way she looks out for both customers and coworkers. She works hard to make sure things are done right and brings a quiet strength that has made an impact on the people around her for years.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with family and friends, tending to her flower beds, and caring for the family farmstead.

Fun fact: During the Care Bear shortage in 1983, Karen hand made and sold more than 100 Care Bears after her five year old daughter insisted she could do it. Turns out, she could.

MEET YOUR ANCHOR BANKER

Chris calls the Farmer City area home, where life revolves around family, farming, and staying busy. Alongside his wife and their two boys, he spends much of his time outside the bank raising corn, soybeans, sheep, and cattle, and making memories showing livestock together.

His roots in agriculture and small business shape how he approaches banking. He understands what it means to put in the work, take risks, and build something over time. Whether someone is just getting started or looking to grow, he’s always ready to help them move forward.

Chris has been with Anchor for nearly six years, currently serving as President and CEO. What he values most is the people. The relationships with customers, the team he works alongside, and the chance to make a difference in ways that don’t always get noticed.

Every day looks a little different for Chris, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. No matter what comes up, his goal is the same. To make sure customers feel taken care of and confident they’re working with a bank that truly stands behind them.

His commitment to this community shows in everything he does. We’re proud to have him leading the way at Anchor.

MEET YOUR ANCHOR BANKER

Chad’s story starts in Colfax.

He was raised on his family’s grain and Angus farm and now lives there with his wife and their three boys. His connection to this area runs deep, with family ties going back to Anchor as well.

Chad joined Anchor State Bank a little over two years ago as a Loan Officer. In that role, he works closely with customers to help them secure the financing they need to move forward and succeed.

What he enjoys most is being part of those moments. Helping someone take the next step, grow their operation, or turn an idea into something real.

To Chad, community banking is personal. It’s about understanding each customer’s situation and showing up with the right support when it matters most.

Outside of the bank, you’ll find Chad with his family, showing Angus cattle and pigs, or coaching football and track at Ridgeview High School. He’s even had the opportunity to coach all three of his boys at the Illinois State Track Meet.

Chad is proud to serve the same community he calls home. We are grateful for Chad, and the way he invests in the people and future of this community.
