MEET YOUR ANCHOR BANKER

Chad’s story starts in Colfax.

He was raised on his family’s grain and Angus farm and now lives there with his wife and their three boys. His connection to this area runs deep, with family ties going back to Anchor as well.

Chad joined Anchor State Bank a little over two years ago as a Loan Officer. In that role, he works closely with customers to help them secure the financing they need to move forward and succeed.

What he enjoys most is being part of those moments. Helping someone take the next step, grow their operation, or turn an idea into something real.

To Chad, community banking is personal. It’s about understanding each customer’s situation and showing up with the right support when it matters most.

Outside of the bank, you’ll find Chad with his family, showing Angus cattle and pigs, or coaching football and track at Ridgeview High School. He’s even had the opportunity to coach all three of his boys at the Illinois State Track Meet.

Chad is proud to serve the same community he calls home. We are grateful for Chad, and the way he invests in the people and future of this community.

MEET YOUR ANCHOR BANKER

If you’ve banked with us for any length of time, you know Jim.

Jim has been in banking for 58 years and has served at Anchor State Bank since 1979, leading as CEO until December 2024. Today, he continues on as Executive Vice President, mentoring our younger bankers and working closely with customers he’s known for decades.

He’s served three and even four generations of some local families. To Jim, customers aren’t just accounts. They’re friends.

Community banking, to him, means knowing people personally and being there when they need you. Steady. Consistent. Trusted.

Outside of the bank, Jim enjoys golf (his words: “I’m not good”), reading, and collecting antiques. He even trained as a historian before falling in love with banking.

Jim isn’t just part of Anchor’s history. He helped build it. We are grateful for Jim, and the legacy he continues to shape.
