Here's a question most people never think to ask: who is the person helping me with Medicare actually working for?

If you call an agent who works for one company, they can only offer that company's plans. And of course they'll say theirs is the best, because it's the only one they have.

If you're already receiving Social Security before 65, Medicare enrollment happens automatically. The Social Security Administration takes care of it and your card typically arrives about three months before your coverage kicks in.
