This post is about 30-year loans, and how much money can you save with an Adjustable-Rate Mortgage
ARMs VS a CONVETIONAL FIX RATE.

National averages: The avg person will buy 2.5 houses in their lifetime.
National average: The avg 30-year mortgage get refinanced around the 6 year point.

Below what you could save on a 10yr ARM vs a 30 year mortgage.
Example is based on a 230k purchase, 5% down-payment, with a fico score of 740, 60-day lock, w/ 1discount point using NW banks current daily rate.

ARM payment for the first 120 payments is $1241
30-year CONV $1328

Monthly savings $87
Annual Savings $1044
10-year savings of $10440

This is an extremely basic example, but you can still see there is a benefit. If you have questions, please inbox me.

I understand that every loan is different, and this may not work for everyone… but it may help that rate sensitive buyer who wants to sit it out until rates come back down.
Remember it is easier to refinance a mortgage than it is to find another home you LOVE.
