Jeffery Caron

Jeffery Caron was the president of the finance society before graduating in '06. He gained valuable experience immediately after graduating by working at a hedge fund in Denver. After which he worked as a High Yield Analyst at Fidelity Investments for 5years and currently works at a startup. Jeff is also currently the head of the Finance Alumni Networking in Boston.

Jonathan Barron

Also a graduate of 2006, after interning at Bear Sterns while still in school, Jon started his career at FTI Consulting out of Boston. After two years there he worked as an Investment Grade analyst and associate at Wells Fargo. He currently works in Wellesley at Sun Capital Advisors as the Director of Private Fixed Income.

Hey everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying your short summer breaks before internships start. There is an alumni event next week, May 28th in Boston. The keynote speaker is John Collmer from JP Morgan. The event will be held at the Umass Club in Boston. It will be a great networking and learning experience that I hope all of you can attend.

Tomorrow, the MFIF has organized a Bloomberg Seminar for any Umass students that wish to attend. The seminar will begin at 12:45 in Rm 108 in Isenberg.

Bloomberg Terminals are an essential product in the financial services industry and an amazing tool for securities analysis. This seminar will be a great introductory for any students that have never used a terminal as well as a great refresher for those that haven't been on one in awhile.

Just a reminder that there are 6 Bloomberg Terminals located in G22 that you all have access too. These terminals were donated to us generously and is something many schools do not have so please take advantage of them.

Again the Bloomberg seminar is Tomorrow, Feb 20th at 12:45 in Isenberg, rm 108.
