Insurance Management Services (IMS) was formed in June 1983 with a mission of offering unequaled service for the self insured health benefits market. Over the years, due to this commitment to excellence, our organization has continued to grow. We now have three companies providing administration service for over 45,000 covered lives. Our companies, IMS Marketing, IMS Managed Care and OMNI Networks provide turnkey administration service for our clients. Providing complete service in all areas enables us to be more efficient and cost effective for our clients and to properly and accurately respond to any situation which may arise. In addition, our web site allows employers, participants and providers immediate online access to plan and claim data. Over the years we have evolved and grown to meet the demands of a changing market and will continue to do so. What started as a small business with manual claims administration has evolved into a full-service TPA with state-of-the-art automated systems still dedicated to our original mission - unequaled service. For 35 years IMS has been a leader in Health Benefit Administration for employer groups of all sizes. We are locally owned and operated exclusively out of Amarillo, Texas where we offer our employees a positive business environment so that they can, in turn, offer our clients superior service.

Our team had a great time at this year’s AMA Colors Run Together, benefiting Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation. We work alongside some pretty incredible people every day, and getting together outside the office to support an organization doing important work for families across our area makes a Saturday morning run worth the early alarm.

Meet Tim Morris.

Tim Morris looks at a health insurance claim the way a good detective looks at a case. As a Claims Analyst Supervisor at IMS, every claim that crosses his desk is, in his words, "a mini mystery" with its own set of obstacles waiting to be worked through. "I get a chance to solve puzzles and problems on each claim that comes across my desk," he says. "Nothing is a greater feeling than having that 'aha' moment when the solution has been discovered." For the people on the other end of those claims, having someone who approaches the work with that level of curiosity and satisfaction is worth more than they probably realize.

Away from the office, Tim stays in motion. He lifts weights and runs at the gym, plays ice hockey at the Amarillo Ice Ranch, and comes home to decompress with a guitar. Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond is on the playlist. Sushi is a favorite food.

When asked about his favorite thing at IMS, Tim doesn't hesitate. "It's the people. IMS is an extended family to me and I am so blessed to work with so many incredible people. IMS is truly a unique and great company that I am blessed to be a part of." That sentiment shows up across every employee spotlight we have done, and it never gets old to hear it said with this much sincerity.
