WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU WEDNESDAY

"You must cut out all fun to save money" FALSE

I strongly believe in not setting yourself up for failure. Keeping your word to yourself and being honest about your habits can eliminate a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety.

If you enjoy something build it into your budget. Just don’t treat it like a fixed cost. Set a reasonable amount and understand that if a paycheck is shorter or a bill comes in higher than expected, this is a category that can be adjusted. The same applies to shopping, eating out, or whatever you use to unwind.

You can even include a dedicated “fun” category in your budget. Tracking how you spend even when it’s for enjoyment is far better than not knowing where your money is going at all. Awareness gives you control without taking the joy out of your life.

MONEY TIP MONDAY

Managing your money starts with knowing your money. You need a clear understanding of where every dollar you earn is going, and that begins with tracking.

This week, try something simple: anytime you spend money, write it down in your notes app and include what you spent it on. I promise the “little” purchases add up quickly and often surprise you. This first step builds awareness and naturally makes you more mindful of your spending the following week.

Most people know how much they make and what their major bills are, but it’s the smaller, everyday expenses that tend to slip through the cracks. In my own budget, I have a category labeled “stops” which is anytime we stop at a store for a snack or a drink. Once that category is used up, we know it’s time to stop making those extra purchases.

Small adjustments like this help you gain control and move in the right direction toward knowing exactly where every dollar of your money is going.

I know that talking about budgets and finances can feel intimidating, but please know this is a judgment free space. I’m here to support you, not to criticize.

To kick off the new year, I’d love to offer free financial support to two individuals who are ready to work toward their 2026 financial goals. This will be a hands-on, supportive opportunity where we’ll build clarity, confidence, and a plan that actually works for your life.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or if you have questions, feel free to reach out I’d be honored to help.

Hello everyone! With the new year officially underway, I’m making it a goal to be more consistent and engaged on this page. I want this to be a space where your financial questions are welcomed and actually answered. I’m even thinking about creating short videos to break down some of the most common topics and questions I receive.

So I want to hear from you: as we head into 2026, what has been the hardest financial challenge for you? Whether it’s keeping up with grocery costs, sticking to a savings goal, or something entirely different. There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to money. Everyone’s situation is unique, and so are their needs.

My goal is to help guide you through it all. This year, I’m also planning to earn three additional licenses to continue expanding my financial knowledge so I can better serve and support each of you along the way.

Drop your thoughts or questions below I’d love to hear from you!!

I am sure we have all heard of the 75-day hard challenge. It is normally about physical and mental challenges to get over to make yourself better in a way that you need.

What about a 75-day hard challenge financially ? No eating out ?No extra spending ?

This will be good to build that savings account or to save for something specific that you might need.

It is always easy to get wrapped up and do things that are easier in the moment like grabbing a bite to eat versus eating at home with the groceries you have already bought.
