As a teacher in 2011, I was offered Aflac through the Amarillo School District and chose to purchase an accident plan, a short term disability plan, and the cancer plan. I used the short term disability for financial help during maternity leave. Then in September of 2014, I was diagnosed with stage 3C Breast Cancer at the age of 34. My Aflac Cancer Policy has paid me $61,000 for chemo, radiation, surgery, wigs, etc. in the 2 years since I've been diagnosed.

I’m honestly not sure what life would look like without our cancer policy. My MIL was insistent that we own one when we had the chance so we bought one. 2 short years later, I received the diagnosis, 4 years later re-Diagnosed forever. Cancer doesn’t know a race, a gender, an age....I’m not supposed to have cancer and neither are you but here I am. I hope you’ll honestly consider protecting your finances so cancer won’t take that from you!
