The church sermon hit my heart Today.
Acts 4
Summary Peter and John arrested (5000 people believed them)
For healing a man in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Brought before the Priests that condemned Jesus to die. Were threatened to not preach about Jesus.
Peter filled with Holy Spirit gifted with Boldness
(Peter still a sinner Peter who denied Jesus 3 times Peter who ran away Peter who cut the soldiers ear off) told them I can only do what God tells me to do
They returned to their friends and rejoiced gave praise for being threatened about their faith and Following Jesus.
God used them just as they were because they followed Jesus
THEY FOLLOWED JESUS FIRST. They changed second. I think we all forgot we have to follow Jesus first just as we are. Then the changing happens second not all at once but over time.we are to judgmental of ourselves and others for not being changed immediately before we follow Jesus.
(I hope this makes sense)
