We recently had a client reach out after a local auto dealer submitted their information to an out-of-town competitor for a quote. That alone was surprising—but what really concerned me was the coverage they were offered.
The quote was for state minimum limits of 25/50/25. I would never recommend such low levels of protection. In a serious at-fault accident, it’s highly unlikely that bodily injury costs would stay under $25,000—especially when multiple parties are involved. Vehicle damage can easily exceed that amount as well, particularly if more than one vehicle is totaled.
To put it in perspective, a single medical flight from OU Medical can cost upwards of $85,000.
That’s why we start our quotes at 100/300/100. Lower liability limits may save a little upfront, but they can lead to significant financial risk in the long run.
