Good Afternoon!

All Marketplace health plans must cover preventive services without charging you a copayment or coinsurance. This is true even if you haven’t met your yearly deductible.

Examples of the preventative screenings that they cover are:

*Blood pressure screening
*Breast cancer mammography screening
*Cervical cancer screening
*Colorectal cancer screening for adults 50 to 75
*Depression screening
*Diabetes (Type 2) screening for adults 40 to 70 years who are overweight or obese
*Immunization vaccines for adults — doses, recommended ages, and recommended populations vary
*Lung cancer screening for adults 55-80 at high risk for lung cancer because they’re heavy smokers or have quit in the past 15 years
*Sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention counseling for adults at higher risk

Good News!

All Marketplace plans must cover treatment for pre-existing medical conditions.

*No insurance plan can reject you, charge you more, or refuse to pay for essential health benefits for any condition you had before your coverage started.
*Once you’re enrolled, the plan can’t deny you coverage or raise your rates based only on your health.

Meaning that even if you have a pre-existing condition, you will still get the same rates as someone that does not have one.

Do you or anyone you know need health insurance?

Clients in need of health coverage, now have additional time to enroll in a 2021 health plan. Open enrollment started February 15th and will now go through August 15th.

Health insurance include coverage for hospital, doctors and medications. There are plans that have dental and vision benefits as well.

There are subsidies out there for those who qualify to help pay for insurance costs!
