Yet to avoid the possibility of wasted time, confusion, frustration and money, you don't have to do it alone. I don't report to the insurance companies; I am simply authorized to sell
their products. So as your advisor, my primary goal is YOUR satisfaction. For this reason, my business plan is this:
1. Be knowledgeable and unhurried.
2. Provide precise, personalized information.
3. Offer all options regardless of compensation.
4. Verify your decision meets your personal needs/preferences/budget.
5. Confirm you are happy and grateful.
6. Remain available to provide on-going assistance after your policies are approved and active. Like an auto insurance agent, I don't charge fees for time and services. Compensation is provided by the insurance companies. Often my services are most needed AFTER your policy is approved and in force such as setting up online access and auto-payments, submitting or updating beneficiary forms and, most important, understanding and utilizing the benefits of your new policy when you need it most! I also:
* Track polices to be sure they remain in good standing.
* Document and store key policy information/records.
* Keep you informed of changes and opportunities in marketplace.
* Represent and solve customer service issues with the insurance company (including preparing grievances or complaints forms, if needed). Wow! All for free? Why not? Call me first; see if I can do the work...you make the decision!
