Double check with your health insurance company that a procedure or expensive treatment is authorized and covered by your plan at the location where you will be treated.

We have had a few situations where the provider or facility told the patient that they were "covered" at an out of network facility. It is easy to assume that the person scanning your insurance card at the hospital or doctor's office would alert you if you are out of network but that isn't always the case.
