Our hearts are heavy as we share the homegoing of North Point’s founder, Samuel W. Mann, Jr. aka “Sam the Mann”.

Sam established North Point in August 1994 and built a legacy marked by integrity, faith, and a genuine commitment to others—especially the young professionals he mentored and encouraged. Sam invested in our team, our customers, and our community, always willing to lend a hand, share wisdom, or offer encouragement. Above all, Sam’s first priority was leading North Point in a God-honoring manner.

An insurance legend, Sam served in underwriting and management roles throughout his career, working with admitted carriers early on and later focusing on E&S underwriting. He was known for treating agents with empathy and respect, producing strong underwriting results for our carrier partners, and living out “Lombardi Time”—making sure the job was finished each day.

Sam loved others well and will be deeply missed.

Services will be held Thursday August 6th at Sam’s home church:
First Baptist Cu***ng, 1597 Sawnee Dr, Cu***ng GA 30040
10-11:45am – Visitation
12:00pm – Celebration of Life
