September is Life Insurance Awareness Month 💙

Here’s a question worth thinking about:

If something happened to you today, would your family be financially okay tomorrow?

Life changes — marriage, children, buying a home, changing jobs, starting a business, or simply getting older can all change how much protection your family may need.

This month, I’m encouraging families to take a moment to review what they have in place and ask:

Does my coverage still fit my life today?

Whether you already have life insurance, only have coverage through work, or aren’t sure what you have, a review can help you understand where you stand.

Protect what you love. Prepare what you leave. 💙

If you’d like to review your current coverage, send me a message or schedule a complimentary Legacy Checkup.

What a wonderful way to start the month—serving our community with purpose! 💚🦅

It was a pleasure to pour back into the amazing staff at Creekland Middle School, our first school of the new school year to serve.

A special thank you to Principal Tyese Scott for welcoming me into her school, Mrs. Gibson for coordinating everything, and my beautiful cousin Miss Hackett for capturing the photos and content to help us share this special moment. ❤️

At the heart of what I do is more than business—it’s about protecting families, building relationships, serving our community, and making an impact.

This is only the beginning. 🌱
Keep showing up. Keep serving. Keep planting seeds.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month — a good time to ask yourself one important question:

What are you protecting today that will bless your family tomorrow?

Life insurance is more than a policy. It can be part of a plan to protect the people you love, prepare for the unexpected, and help create a legacy that lasts.

This month, I’m encouraging families to pause, review what they have in place, and make sure their protection still matches their life today.

Protect what you love. Prepare what you leave. 💙

What a GREAT first half of the day at the office! ❤️

We started the morning with breakfast prepared by our Managing Partner and Senior Partner, and then had the opportunity to celebrate promotions and recognize our Council Winners—some of the top-producing Financial Professionals in the company! 👏🏽🏆

There’s something special about being in a room where people are being recognized for their hard work, growth, and accomplishments. Watching others get promoted and celebrated didn’t make me feel like I was behind—it INSPIRED me and reminded me of what’s possible! 🙌🏽

One of the things I appreciate most is the diversity within our office and the way we genuinely help, encourage, and support one another.

The energy. The encouragement. The opportunity. The growth.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! ❤️

Congratulations to everyone who was recognized today. Your success is inspiring others—including me! ✨

✨ Connections can grow into meaningful relationships.

I truly enjoyed reconnecting with the beautiful Phyllis Breech today! Our connection began at my very first Collaboration Over Competition event last year.

About an hour before the event, one of my guest speakers had to cancel. Phyllis graciously stepped in as a guest speaker—and later returned to speak at my second Collaboration Over Competition event as well. ❤️

Phyllis is an amazing executive coach, and I’m grateful that what began as a professional connection has continued to grow.

Today, we had the opportunity to catch up over lunch, share ideas, talk about life, and simply enjoy genuine conversation. Thank you, Phyllis, for lunch and for my birthday gift! 🎁 It’s August, and I’m still receiving birthday love. What a blessing it is to be thought of!

This is one of the reasons I believe so strongly in collaboration over competition. You never know what one connection can grow into. 🤝🏽✨

Speaking of the Collaboration Over Competition networking mixer, it’s about time for another one! Stay tuned for details.

💭 CAN WE HAVE A REAL CONVERSATION ABOUT THIS?

We spend a lot of time planning for what we want to happen in life…but how often do we prepare for the “what ifs?”

What if something happened to you and you couldn’t work anymore?
Would your household be able to maintain itself without your income?

What if you needed help with everyday activities or long-term care?
Who would take care of you—and how would that care be paid for?

And children, think about your parents. ❤️
As they get older, there may come a day when you become their caregiver. Have you ever had a conversation with them about what plans they have in place?

Here are a few things worth knowing:

🔹 Life insurance can help provide financial protection for the people who depend on you if you pass away.

🔹 Disability income insurance is designed to help replace a portion of your income if a qualifying illness or injury prevents you from working.

🔹 Long-term care planning can help prepare for the cost of assistance with everyday activities when extended care is needed—whether that’s at home or in another care setting.

Sometimes the biggest financial risk isn’t just dying too soon. It can also be living longer and needing care or becoming unable to earn the income your family depends on.

So here’s my question for you:

Which concerns you the most?

A. What happens to my family if I die
B. What happens if I can’t work
C. Who will care for me as I age
D. Having to financially care for my parents
E. Honestly…I’ve never thought about any of this

No judgment—I’m genuinely curious. Drop your letter below. 👇🏾

Good Morning! ☀️

A couple of weeks ago, I baked these red velvet cakes and created these little encouragement gifts for members of my team. 🍰

It wasn’t just about giving them something sweet. I wanted to remind them that what they do is bigger than a job.

We have the opportunity to help families protect today, prepare for tomorrow, and build legacies. That’s purpose.

I believe when God places people in your path, you should take the time to encourage them, appreciate them, and remind them that what they do matters.

Looking at these this morning made me realize…

It’s about time for me to bless my team again! 😂❤️

Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that make the biggest impact.

Lead with purpose. Serve with love. Appreciate your people. 🙏🏾

💛 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: BUSINESS CHECK-IN

Business owners, we spend so much time making sure the business is running that sometimes we forget to ask:

Is my business actually healthy?

Today, take a quick check:

✅ Are your finances in order?
✅ Is your business protected if something happens to you?
✅ Are you taking care of the people who help your business succeed?
✅ Could the business continue without you?
✅ Are you taking care of yourself while building it?
✅ Do you have a plan for the legacy of your business?

You worked too hard to build it to leave the future of it to chance.

💼 Healthy Owner. Healthy Business. Stronger Legacy.

👇🏾 Business owners, which area are you working on right now: Finances, Protection, Team, Continuity, Personal Wellness, or Legacy?

Yesterday, we talked about Whole Life vs. IUL. Today, let’s talk about the RIDERS! 🛡️

Buying life insurance is about more than just choosing a death benefit. Depending on the policy, you may be able to add riders that provide additional benefits or protection.

So, what exactly is a rider?

A rider is an optional provision or benefit added to a life insurance policy that can modify or expand the coverage. Some riders are included, while others may have an additional cost.

Here are some riders you may hear about:

🔹 Waiver of Premium Rider — May waive required premiums if the insured meets the rider’s definition of total disability.

🔹 Chronic Illness Rider — May allow access to a portion of the death benefit while living if certain qualifying chronic-illness requirements are met.

🔹 Terminal Illness / Accelerated Death Benefit Rider — May allow early access to part of the death benefit after a qualifying terminal-illness diagnosis.

🔹 Long-Term Care Rider — May provide benefits for qualifying long-term care expenses or needs, subject to the rider’s terms.

🔹 Child Rider — Can provide life insurance coverage for eligible children under a parent’s policy.

🔹 Spouse Rider — May provide coverage for a spouse under the primary insured’s policy.

🔹 Guaranteed Insurability Rider — May provide opportunities to purchase additional coverage at specified times or qualifying life events without new medical underwriting.

🔹 Accidental Death Benefit Rider — May provide an additional benefit if death results from a qualifying accident.

🔹 Other Insured Rider — May allow coverage for another eligible person under the policy.

✨ Why do riders matter?

Because life insurance doesn’t have to be only about what happens when you die. Certain riders can provide additional protection for situations you may experience while you’re living.

The key is understanding exactly what your policy includes, what it doesn’t, and the requirements for accessing each benefit.

Before adding a rider, ask: “What does this cover, what triggers the benefit, what does it cost, and how could using it affect my policy or death benefit?”

📩 Not sure what riders are included in your current life insurance policy? Let’s review it together.

Rider availability, eligibility, costs, exclusions and benefits vary by insurance carrier, product and state. Riders are subject to policy terms and underwriting requirements.
