Big changes just hit conventional condo financing. 🏢🏡

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have updated several condo project approval rules — and some of these changes could make financing easier, while others make it even more important to review the condo project early in the process.

The biggest changes include:
• Limited Review is gone
• Small condo projects may have an easier path
• The 50% owner-occupancy test has been eliminated for established projects
• New reserve requirements are coming
• Master insurance requirements have been updated
