December 9th is a bittersweet day within our Main Street family, as we celebrate the heavenly birthday of a great man, co-worker and friend, Britt Kearce. Many of you remember Britt, as his infectious smile could be felt through each phone call and interaction he had with each client. His love of life was evident and the respect he treated each person with made them feel special, regardless of the situation.

As an agency owner, there are so many great things I could share about my years with Britt in this agency. His love of his job on this team, the contribution he made to each of your lives on a daily basis, is something any company owner strives to have from his employees.

However, there are far more things I remember about Britt as a man, and friend. He never knew it, but I looked up to his positive outlook on life, regardless of the circumstances that may exist and thought me so much as a man, a father and a business owner.

During this past year, I hope that Britt has looked down upon this world and smiled about many great things that we would have enjoyed. I know that he and I would have talked for HOURS each day during the Braves postseason run and World Series victory. Baseball was definitely Britt's greatest passion and that would have been great memories he would have shared with his family. I'm sure this fall he has been cheering the loudest for the Florida State Seminoles football team and enjoyed their resurgence into major college football.

Britt is missed in our agency, and in my life, on a daily basis. I hope that part of what he looks down on and smiles is how our agency continues to grow on a daily basis and strive to be like Britt with every client interaction and situation.

As is our tradition exist within this agency, Britt's favorite number was 3 and our office will close at 3pm today to spend a couple of additional hours with those closest to us. We hope that wherever your day has you at 3pm, you may be able to take those extra hours or even just pause for a moment and remember those closest to you. We have lost Britt from this world far too early; however, he is in our hearts daily and will be forever.

Thank you to each of you and we wish you a Happy Britt Kearce Day.

Earlier this year we lost a great man, co-worker and friend, Britt Kearce, and today we are honored to make December 9th "Britt Kearce Day" within our Agency. Britt touched the lives of so many within our community and within the agency, and we strive each day to carry on his infectious smile, amazing charisma and overall passion for life.

As an avid sports ju**ie, Britt's favorite number was 3. Tying Britt's love of sports and family together, our office will be closing at 3pm today to celebrate Britt's life. We hope that each of you within our agency can take a few moments today and cherish those around you.

The irony in all of this, Britt hated any type of celebration about himself and certainly wouldn't want to leave work early for such a celebration. Today, we will celebrate and share many stories and smiles about this wonderful family man, friend and co-worker.

We are grateful to each of you for your support during this tumultuous year and hope you can take a moment to join in the celebration wherever you are this afternoon.

We miss you Britt!

With heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of our dear teammate, Jay Woodall. Jay joined the Main Street, and Allstate, family a year ago and he will be dearly missed by each of his colleagues at Allstate.

Jay had a passion for his craft and loved working with his clients to help them meet each of their financial goals. That passion and energy was evident anytime his big personality entered into the room.

Jay is survived by his wife and 2 children, and our thoughts will be with the entire Woodall family during this tragic time. While Jay is gone far too soon, our team will continue to share his passion and energy with each of our clients to do our best to meet each of their insurance and financial needs.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the sudden, unexpected passing of our teammate, George “Britt” Kearce. Britt has been a member of our Main Street Agency since the beginning and his contagious smile will be missed in our office daily. Many of you, your team members, and clients have shared wonderful feedback about Britt. As the Agency Owner, I couldn’t be prouder to have called him my teammate and my friend. It is a dream for any company to find an employee who cares as much about your company as management, and Britt was the epitome of that employee. His drive to provide each prospective AND existing client with a positive experience during the process will be missed. He has touched the lives of so many people as a representative of our agency and we are proud to continue his legacy on a daily basis.

Outside of the office, Britt’s greatest passions were his family and enjoying any sport imaginable. Britt is survived by his amazing wife, Stephanie, and two great young men: Colin and Gil. His love, respect, and pride in each of them was shared in so many stories. These stories could be seen through his facial expression and heard in his tone when talking about any of the three of them. His love of baseball and the Florida State Seminoles would lead to hours of conversation throughout the season and always put a smile on my face. Whether talking about the Braves, or the weekend tournament that my 11-year-old participated in, Britt was engaged and loved to share stories, and wisdom, about each sport. His love of baseball has allowed Britt to touch the lives of so many young men in the Roswell/Milton area while coaching both of his children through their youth baseball days. “Coach” was a pillar in that baseball community and has helped young men of all ages and all skill levels grow to love the game as much as he did.

In an effort to help the boys continue with their education, and the family continue moving forward, we are proud to set up a Go Fund Me page to help the Kearce family through this process. If you would like to contribute, please see the information below and any amount that you would be willing to share will be a blessing for Stephanie and the boys. The Main Street Agency is proud to put this together and will match the amount of donations raised, up to $50,000.

Our entire Main Street Family takes great pride in the partnerships we have built with each of you and we treasure being a member of your work team/family as well. Nobody took greater pride in that responsibility than Britt. As we move forward, our responsibility to you, your team, and your clients will reflect Britt’s commitment. We will continue to honor Britt’s life and work with the level of commitment, pride and, joy that he did daily.
