With everyone in town for the week, it was the perfect way to wrap up a productive few days together. It was great to see everyone representing their favorite teams, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying time together.

At each location, we connected face-to-face with local agents, diving into their unique markets and sharing perspectives. I’d like to welcome Tommy Hefner and Tim Smith to Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc.!

Tommy(left) is our new Vice President of Transportation. He brings extensive experience in transportation insurance underwriting and leadership, with a proven track record of fostering strong agency relationships and building profitable carrier partnerships. Outside of work, Tommy enjoys quality time with family, caring for pets, and fishing.

Tim(right) is our new Business Development Associate in Marketing. He brings over two decades of insurance experience on the retail agency side, along with a strong background in commercial insurance. He helps clients and partners navigate complex needs with clarity and confidence. A graduate of Florida State University, Tim combines industry expertise with a people-first approach. Outside of work, Tim enjoys kayaking, fishing, and cooking.

We’re excited to welcome both of them to the team and look forward to the impact they will make!
