We recently hit the road in South Carolina, making stops in Columbia and Greenville!

At each location, we connected face-to-face with local agents, diving into their unique markets and sharing perspectives. Conversations highlighted how Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc. and SIUPREM complement one another, creating stronger opportunities when we work together. I’d like to welcome Tommy Hefner and Tim Smith to Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc.!

Tommy(left) is our new Vice President of Transportation. He brings extensive experience in transportation insurance underwriting and leadership, with a proven track record of fostering strong agency relationships and building profitable carrier partnerships. Outside of work, Tommy enjoys quality time with family, caring for pets, and fishing.

Tim(right) is our new Business Development Associate in Marketing. He brings over two decades of insurance experience on the retail agency side, along with a strong background in commercial insurance. He helps clients and partners navigate complex needs with clarity and confidence. A graduate of Florida State University, Tim combines industry expertise with a people-first approach. Outside of work, Tim enjoys kayaking, fishing, and cooking.

We’re excited to welcome both of them to the team and look forward to the impact they will make!

Our team recently wrapped up an amazing roadshow in Mississippi and Alabama! We visited Biloxi, Mobile, and Montgomery. 🚗☀️

Each visit gave us the opportunity to spend time with local agents and learn more about their markets. We discussed the benefits Southern Insurance Underwriters, Inc. and SIUPREM gain from supporting each other. Meeting in person with agents created a purposeful experience where ideas flowed naturally, relationships grew deeper, and valuable insights were gained.
