With the increase in fraudulent text message, that often appear urgent and may claim to be from a financial institution, government agency, or another trusted organization, we want to ensure you know when it might be fraud or a scam.
Before you act, STOP and ask yourself:
✔️ Have you been told to keep a transaction secret?
✔️ Were you asked to purchase gift cards, send cash, or deposit money into a Bitcoin ATM?
✔️ Did someone tell you you've won money but need to pay a fee first?
✔️ Did you receive a text or call claiming there's an urgent problem that requires immediate action?
If any of this sound familiar, it could be a scam.
Remember:
🔹 AAACU will never ask for your online banking credentials, passwords, security codes, or full debit card information through text, email, or unsolicited phone calls.
🔹 Don't click suspicious links or respond to unexpected text messages.
🔹 When in doubt, contact us directly using a trusted phone number.
