Yesterday, August 13, BC Farm Bureau President David Lee, Vice President Cory Tyre, and Director Chris Towns had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Commodity Conference at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center. There are 20 commodity advisory committees in total, and we are represented on three of them: Cory in hay, David in honey bees, and Chris in soybeans. The conference included speakers from UGA Tifton, experts on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and its effects on Georgia farmers, and Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper, who provided an update on the Block Grant is always a meaningful time of fellowship with fellow Farm Bureau members. These conversations help shape friendships, policy, and the future of our industry, which is what makes events like this so important.
