📍 Our adventures took us to Posen, Michigan! We spent the weekend here and took a tour of the historic Elowsky Grist Mill and attended the Posen Potato Festival.

The Posen Potato Festival kicks off with a parade and then the festivities begin! The festival definitely has Polish roots. We enjoyed sampling the Polish food and shooing for Polish shirts and gear. We rode the rides and listened to live Polka music! 🎶

📍 Our adventures took us to Posen, Michigan! We spent the weekend here and took a tour of the historic Elowsky Grist Mill.

🪵 The Elowsky Grist Mill is rich with history. The Elowsky family purchased the mill and by the 1900s, it was operating 24 hours a day. Emil Elowsky met a young Thomas Edison and together they created a water powered generator and full electric lighting! The mill was years ahead of its time. Visit the Alpena area and take a tour.
