Heads up, parents and students! 🎓 Scholarship scams spike every back to school season, and they can be convincing.

Here is how it usually works: your student receives an offer for a scholarship or financial aid they never applied for. To claim it, they just need to pay a small processing fee or hand over some personal information. Once they do, the "scholarship" disappears.

The rule of thumb: legitimate scholarships never ask you to pay to receive money. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

This month we will be collecting the following school supplies at both branches:

✏️ Pencils and pens
📓 Notebooks and binders
🖍️ Crayons and colored pencils
📐 Other basic school supplies
