Almost to the end of the year and I know many who will have to spend their holiday's organizing their finances. I came up with the 4 steps to organize your business finances fast.

Remember to maximize savings and reduce taxes takes a bit of organization. However, 5 minutes a day can save you thousands.

Step 1: Organize your paper and then make it Digital
Step 2: Organize where you money comes from (revenue/income)
Step 3: Organize where your money is going (expenses/liabilities)
Step 4: Track it in 5 minutes a day

Here’s mine
I love to take Saturdays and explore the cities that I’m currently in. I put away my phone (other than GPS because I always get lost) and do something fun with friends and family. Things like
☑️Going to a museum
☑️Taking a tour
☑️Going to a concert
☑️Meeting friends for drinks
☑️Taking my son to whatever crazy adventure I can talk him into.
Without the money I make I wouldn’t be able to take this time and just breath. It helps keep me balanced. Helps charge the batteries.
Without money these things wouldn’t happen.

Tax deadlines are quickly approaching, late fees and penalties can add up quickly!

Sep 15: S-corp and partnerships that filed an extension
Sep 15: Q3 Estimated tax payments (check your state too!)
Sep 30: File 2019/202 to avoid failure to file penalties
Oct 17: Personal Schedule C returns file on extensions.

🔹New standard mileage rate. for the remainder of the year 🔹.

We all know that gas prices have been rising lately with no end in sight. The IRS just put out an announcement on June 9th that the final 6 months of 2022 you’ll be able to expense .625 cents per mile. This is up 4 cents from the start of the year.

However, like all deduction, documentation is key. Try these tips to keep your deductions at maximum.

* Make sure you have a mileage log. This is the most important requirement as without the log the IRS could disallow the expense forcing you to pay it back.

*There is now two rates for 2022 .625 from July 1 to Dec 31st and .585 from Jan 1, to June 31.

Make sure you keep the money you earn in your pocket.
