A DECADE OF SERVICE!

10 years ago today, Technician Valley was born!

Initially called The Re//DEFINED Project, or simply Re//DEFINED, its founding purpose was to serve as a community service platform with a focus on economic stability.

Co-founded by Kendra and Curtis Lewis who, at the time, were local school teachers preparing to get married.

Family and close friends of the Lewis’ came together to support the vision and lay the foundation!

And what a foundation that was laid:

-10k+ served with no-cost basic necessities through our community pantry.

-$26k+ invested in 36 organizations

-$60k+ invested in youth behavioral health services during COVID

-$18k+ invested in disaster relief and COVID response

-consulted on countless local and statewide projects

-and so much more

“First, our hearts mourn for every individual who has been a victim of the recent revolving acts of mindless violence.

To say that poverty, the lack of a deputy police chief and shortage on officers, or the lack of activities in Alexandria are the reasons why these acts occur is inappropriate and disrespectful, specifically to these victims and their families.

We are living in a time where life has little to no value to a lot of people. As a result, the lives of others are seen to have no value. People’s hearts are so hardened.

But we stand by Mayor Hall, Chief King, and these men and women who are on the streets day and night, protecting our residents.

We have an open invitation to anyone who wants to come sit down and strategize with us. We are looking only for solutions. Our door is open.

Second, our thoughts and prayers are for those impacted from yesterday’s storm and thank the Lord for his protection. The damage is extremely heavy in certain parts of the area, but lives were spared. We are here to assist any way possible.” -Chairman Lewis
