Denise was born and raised in Farmington New Mexico and has lived here almost her entire life other than six years she spent in California. Denise was a real estate broker for several years and left real estate in 2009 to work alongside her husband in their Oil and Gas service company until they decided to sell their business in 2018. She has always loved the real estate industry and decided to go back and work in another sector! She obtained her Mortgage Loan Originator license in New Mexico and Colorado and has said that it is by far the most rewarding position she has ever attained. She loves helping people realize their dream of home ownership and with her prior and current experience she helps make the home buying process as seamless and stress-free as possible. Here is a little bit about her!

Hi, my name is Shyla Jefferson. I am 23 years old.
I was born and raised in a little town outside of Durango, Colorado called Ignacio. I married my high school sweetheart in 2019. He is a Farmington Police Officer. We became parents to this sweet little boy in 2020. He has fulfilled us in so many ways.

Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse. After high school I attended a few classes at Pueblo Community College while having a full time job at the hospital as a house keeper. I was getting my foot in the door, but soon realized that maybe that wasn't my calling.

My husband and I purchased our first home together here in Farmington in 2018, while going through that process, I had an amazing realtor who I had explained to that I wish I could find a job in Farmington because the commute to Durango for work was starting to get hard. I had talked to her about becoming a realtor with her. When I went to sign my documents to close on our home we had talked about the Title Company in Farmington hiring. So I was introduced to the boss and I went through all the steps to become an escrow assistant. That's when I really fell in love with everything that involved buying a house and helping others get their dream home. I was blessed to have had that job. I had left San Juan Title right before I had my baby, then was blessed to be able to stay home with him.

I am so excited to become apart of Motto Mortgage. I'm super easy going, love working with people and being there for them in any way I can be!
