Much on the plate now as global growth hangs in the balance. The FED is toying with lowering rates in a full employment atmosphere. 10yr bond yields have hit new lows for the year signaling a possible recession on its way, but so far ISM, retail and jobs are holding steady. Hong Kong is held in the balance by the long arm of China. Will the extradition law be enforced in the future and Hong Kong loses its favored trade status with the US? That would trigger a mass exodus of capital outflow from HK. Will the ECB take over the bonds of member nations and form its own bond market? We are keeping an eye on all these events and the progression or the contraction of each. It will be an interesting 2019 3rd and 4th quarter. 2020 will be even more interesting. Stay tuned.

With China very low on dollar reserves and with fed balance sheet sell-off, which is now neutral, look for the dollar to move higher. If China begins to sell US treasuries to build dollar reserves, we could see mass shortages of dollars. US dollar could reach new highs.
